There is too much said about the general election but very little about the local election.  The turnout is low.  last year in Crome Ward, Norwich the turnout was 35%, that means out of a possible 7,351 only 2573 voted. In other words 4,778 did not vote; almost double!. So the person who was elected with 41% of the votes, was really in Norwich City Council because 14% of Crome Ward electors voted for her. 7th May there are two new parties, Left Unity and Class War.  Up for grabs is 1 seat on NCC in Crome and 12 others in other Norwich Wards.  In Crome there are 6 candidates, when I have their names I will let you know.
